Student Safety: National Youth Violence Prevention Week (April 7-11)
The National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE), a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to decreasing the potential for violence in our schools and communities, is sponsoring National Youth Violence Prevention Week from April 7-11, 2014. The nationwide initiative raises awareness and to prevent youth violence. Each day during the week corresponds to a specific challenge:
- Monday, April 7th : Promoting Respect and Tolerance
- Tuesday, April 8th: Manage Your Anger, Don’t Let it Manage You
- Wednesday, April 9th: Resolve Conflicts Peacefully
- Thursday, April 10th:Support Safety
- Friday, April 11th: United in Action
SAVE offers free resources — like the Youth Saving the World Toolkit, support documents, and programs for schools and educators who want to participate in National Youth Violence Prevention Week including:
