Posted by Rachael Ballard Filed under: Courses, Programs, Student Violence, Student Well-Being

Did you know that suicide is the second leading cause of death for 15-24 year olds? In honor of September’s Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) created the following informational landing pages to educate others about suicide and its prevention:

PublicSchoolWORKS has three suicide prevention resources for your staff in the Student Safety, Wellness and Social Responsibility catalog. Suicide Prevention Module 1 covers the fundamentals of suicide prevention. Taking this course with Modules 2 and/or 3 provides employees with a core suicide prevention curriculum of up to two hours. Taking Modules 1, 2 and 3 together meets the training requirements mandated by the Jason Flatt Act. To read more about the courses, click here. To learn how to add these courses to your annual staff training schedule, contact us today.
