National Safety Council’s National Safety Month

Posted by Rachael Ballard Filed under: General

Every June, the National Safety Council (NSC), along with thousands of organizations nationwide, raises awareness for what it takes to be “SafeForLife.” According to their website, National Safety Month focuses on reducing the leading causes of injury and death at work, on the road and at home.

National Safety Month has a different focus each week:

  • Week 1: Stand Ready to Respond
  • Week 2: Be Healthy
  • Week 3: Watch Out for Dangers
  • Week 4: Share Roads Safely

Interested in observing National Safety Month with your staff and students? NSC has created a package of posters and tip sheets to help spread safety messages. You can sign up for these free materials here.
