To give everyone an opportunity to honor public education and those individuals who ensure students receive a quality education, NEA is celebrating the 96th Annual American Education Week November 13-17, 2017.

The schedule of events for the week is as follows:

  • Monday, November 13: Kickoff Day
  • Tuesday, November 14: Parents Day
  • Wednesday, November 15: Education Support Professionals Day
  • Thursday, November 16: Educator for a Day
  • Friday, November 17: Substitute Educators Day

So how can you celebrate? Here’s a few ideas:

  • Use the #AEW2017 and #ptchat hashtags for dialogue between parents and educators.
  • Use this Listicle of “15 Awesome Questions to Generate Conversation with Your Kids”
  • Decorate your halls and online presence with American Education Week artwork, including social media shareables, web banners, posters and hand-out cards
  • Check out other celebration ideas from NEA on their cheat sheet
